CHICAGO – Matt O’Shea has thrown his hat into the ring for the 2023 Chicago City Council race.
O’Shea is seeking re-election for a fourth term as 19th Ward Alderman, which serves the Beverly, Mount Greenwood and Morgan Park neighborhoods. The election is Feb. 25, 2023, in which candidates must carry 50 + 1 of the vote to avoid a runoff April 4, 2023.
Mike Sheahan, former Cook County Sheriff, Jerry Joyce, attorney, Fred Waller, former director of operations for the Chicago Police Department, Julie Troglia, a leader in the fight to improve working conditions for Chicago police officers following the death of her husband Jeff Troglia, and Deanna Panatera, an advocate for Special Olympic programming, will co-chair O’Shea’s campaign committee.
